Workshops/Conferences

If you want to make biodiesel, learn more about the diesel engine, learn issues surrounding biodiesel use, or just want to learn the chemistry behind biodiesel, we have a variety of Biodiesel workshops. We can tailor workshops to individual needs, contact us with specific requests at michael.west@colorado.edu.

Teachers- Contact us about having CU Biodiesel members do a workshop in your class. We can format workshops around your current curriculum to provide students with a hands-on learning experience in extra-curricular information. Topics covered can range from recycling, to general renewable energy and sustainability practices, to complex biodiesel chemistry. We conduct workshops with students of all ages and have always had a great response. We would also like to implement an alternative energy curriculum into local elementary schools. See Project Yellow Bus, or write us and find out what we can do for you.

Our next Biodiesel 101 Workshop will be this Wednesday, June 11th, on the CU campus. It will cover basic biodiesel topics including: Benefits and uses, chemistry, current issues, diesel compatibility and optional modifications, and best of all everybody will make a batch before leaving. Write to info@cubiodiesel.org to sign up or if you have any questions.

Please stay tuned for more updates and announcements about upcoming workshops and biodiesel events, and please spread the word! We look forward to seeing you soon.
